Welp! My new year did not begin accordingly, but I shall NOT dwell on it! Instead, I licked my wounds with some online shopping and caught some great sales from a few of my go-to retailers. All the year-end sales are in swing and I usually take this time of year to stock up on things that I may have bought during the year and want more of (for less $$, of course!) as well as do a clean out of my closet to see what I may need to replace. I tend to beat up shoes and boots that get worn to the office more regularly and while we are just getting started with winter here in good ol’ upstate NY, you know the stores are a season ahead so its a great time to get those boots you have had in the “save for later” bin and ADD TO CART!

ShelleyB’s Cart!

I know there are quite a few items here, but a few things: my husband and I don’t exchange Christmas gifts with each other and we don’t have kids so hitting after holiday sales is often our Christmas shopping AND only one item shown here is actually new for spring so everything is on mark down (some more than 40% off at the time of this post) and even the spring sweater is on sale. So, 1-12; here is what I “added to cart”:

1) I had been spying and “saving for later” this J.Crew Puffer Jacket. Honestly, I need another coat like I need a hole in the head, but I love it and it was 33% off plus another 50% if you used their code. It comes in three colors, but if you have read any other posts here you know that I didn’t waiver from the navy option; its classic and really is a neutral that will go with so much. It looks warm and toasty and the perfect jacket if you’re going to be outside walking around for a bit so I am most excited to find this package waiting for me this week!

2, 3) COVID is resurging and while it may be a bit different this time around without everything shutting down, I still find that my husband and I are home more than we are out or we at least aren’t doing things that require us to be as “dressed”, so another lounge outfit that could be comfy at home, but cute when running errands etc…seemed fitting. Both from J.Crew, the Terry Hoodie and coordinating Terry Sweatpant fit the bill and together, came in under $60. Available in two color options, I went for each piece (they are sold separately) in the Natural color (I can wear under the navy jacket—lol). Last I checked, these were still on sale, but they are FINAL SALE and can’t be returned so if I sparked your interest in these, be comfortable with the sizing (I always size up one with J.Crew).

4) Leaving J.Crew for just a hot second, I must tell you to run to get these Stretch Joggers from Old Navy. I purchased two pairs earlier in the year and loved them so much that I went back and got two more in different colors. They stretch and are comfortable so a good option when you don’t want to wear leggings, but still want a more athleisure look. Many colors and sizes up to 4x and I don’t care if you are 13 or 75, ranging from $17-$40 (an additional 35% off if you are a card holder for one of the Gap Family Stores), THESE WORK FOR EVERYONE. My mom made a comment about how much she liked them every time I had them on so guess what, my girl got two pairs for Christmas…favorite daughter, check and check! LOL

5) Back to J.Crew for one more thing. I think my phone was “listening” and just knew that I would be a sucker for this blue and white Striped Sweater because as I was scrolling through the year end sale, it just popped up. Err….. “ignore it, Michele…ignore it!”, and just like Emeril would say, “Bam”…into the cart it goes. The good news is that it was still on sale with 35% off and I considered it my splurge purchase for the day. I checked out and got four J.Crew items just at $200 and that included tax (shipping was free) so I call it a win!

6-9) Onto Nordstrom. I love Nordstrom for so many things fashion and home and all we have here in Albany, NY is Nordstrom Rack. For the lack of options we have here as far as actual department stores go, I’ll take it but if this were a reel I’d snap my fingers and we’d have the real deal (I’d also have to know how to actually make a reel that isn’t a sh*tshow). I caught the Nordstrom sale that they only have twice a year on the very last day. Like I said, if you need boots its a good time to stock up. I threw out two pairs of black boots that had seen better days and replaced them with the black ones shown here, but I really needed a more casual brown boot and found these Steve Madden Booties. I will tell you that they label them as grey, but when they arrived they were more brown like the photo. I would say pending the grey you are wearing, you might be able to pull them off, but they are definitely not a true grey! I also got these fun Faux Leather Pants and stocked up on my favorite Liquid Eyeshadow. Many of the items here and much more are still on sale online!

10) I somewhat feel like I leaped back into the 90’s with these Sorel Boots but they just arrived from Zappos and I love them. I needed a winter boot that wasn’t an actual snow boot, but one that if the weather was snowy or slushy, I could wear a weather proof boot that still offered a sense of fashion. Low and behold, I saw an Influencer I follow on IG with a similar pair (they come in a lace-up option as well as various colors) and thought they would do the trick (call me…influenced-lol). I’m what you’d call a shorter leg-thick thighed gal and I’ll take any option for height that I can get. These offer that height, but they also offer traction and are waterproof for winter nights out when your honkin’ snow boots, no matter how cute, just won’t work. I’ll be sure to snap a pic when I have them on so you can see them styled (I know some of y’all are doubting me here)!

11-12)Last, but not least I was on Amazon getting some holiday storage bins when I ran into this Navy Sweater and this Army Green Open Cardigan. I am still waiting on the green one to arrive, but the navy one is definitely going back…hated it immediately when I opened the bag and I can tell it won’t hold up. Adios, sweater! You can’t win them all, right?!

That’s my post holiday online sale hunting in a nutshell for you. I’ll be anxiously checking my inbox for delivery notifications and I’m leaving the front porch snacks out for all the delivery men and women so they keep coming ;) Have you checked out post holiday sales yet; let me know if you found something good :)

xoxo-ShelleyB.
